Help us Rebuild RMES
A recent fire destroyed 4 fire trucks, a building, equipment, a SCBA bottle refill compressor, the training room and staff gym. We need our community’s help to rebuild.
In December 2025, tragedy struck. A fire destroyed the back hall of Redwood Meadows Emergency Services including destroying 4 emergency vehicles, the training room, equipment, gear and the gym.
RMES remains fully operational and has responded to almost 200 calls so far in 2026, but the financial and operational impact of the back hall fire has been devastating.
We face a $1.5 insurance shortfall on replacement costs. Thanks to generous donations, to date we have replaced 3 of the 4 fire vehicles lost.
Our second due engine – 120 ENGINE — still needs to be replaced.
Replacing the fire engine lost in the back hall fire isn’t a luxury — it’s a lifeline. It means faster response times. Safer operations. Reliable water supply in our remote and challenging response area. And the ability to protect our community when seconds matter.
New Pumper Engine = Lives Saved
We are fundraising to replace the fire engine lost in the fire and we need our community’s help.
